Happy Days

Hope all your holidays were fantastic. And I'm sure you are all still having a great time with your families with it being a school break! I got a cool Global knife for my gift this year. I'm starting a new set of knives and got my first the Global knives, but so expensive. Me, I'm a big cooking freak. Love making food for people (not baking though!). So the knives will be awesome to use! Our kids had a fabulous time with their cousins and I introduced my Danish family to Pictionary, Christmas eve, and they all decided they would play it again next year...15 of us playing it in two teams and even the littlest 4 year old got to draw!

I wanted to show you some layouts that our team did that for some reason never got on our blog due to either timing or me being incredibly rude and forgetful.

This one is from Sarah using Juletid kit:

From Caits using a combo of kits (with her usual amazing clusters):

From Caren, this one using Love Note and the other is of her gorgeous grandbaby Charlee!

From Carly with Misfit kit:

From Katie with the Misfit kit:

And this from Wulan. We stretched her a bit with this Christmas kit...she doesn't do Christmas nor does she have a winter, living in Indonesia! It still turned out awesome!

We hope that you have an awesome week with your family and enjoy these moments. Don't forget to record some of them for your scrapping next month!!!

OK, here is our final new kit of the year!!! We're talking a bit of a break over the holiday to re-coup and generate some new ideas....

This kit is in honour of Vanessa's anniversary!!! She and DH sent love notes to each other during their courtship and also continue to do this on a monthly basis...awwwwww!!! But what a great way to stay connected when your both busy and life gets in the way!

DIDJA see that heart paper??? too die for! Here is what Eryn did with it:

and it's a mini so the price is just perfect for those on a TIGHT budget this month!

Look what Gina did with the her clustering:

AND, check this out...Sarah, on a challenge dare from Mish, did a totally clustered layout so opposite of her usual clean and simple ones. She used a templated Caits made up:

Did she not rock that layout? Yep, we do alot of challenging each other doing layouts. And this time, Sarah was up for it. Can't believe how well she did that page!

Sale and Hybrid Tutorial!

It's nearing the end of our Hanukkah sale. Here is what is on retirement sale today:

Only for $1.50 and after three days, it's gone!!!

And, let me show you this fantastic grab bag available at the DigiChick:

It's got a ton of stuff in it and is only available til the 12th of December so hurry over!!! Here is a tutorial for you...

I made this cute little ornament with 2 of the papers in the bag:

You will need either one double sided patterned paper or 2 sheets of paper printed front and back. I did 2 sheets of paper glued to each other.

Other things are: Gluestick, stapler, scissors, ribbon

Print your papers (I used A4 size) and cut out 9 circles approximately 6cm (2.5 inches) for each piece. You can go bigger but you will need more paper. I then glued one pattern paper to another for a total of 9 circles.

Fold each circle in half, and then unfold them. Then stack them with one pattern going one direction, the next the opposite way, and so on.

Staple down the middle fold line, one on top, one in the middle, and one in the bottom.

Use gluestick or thick glue and adhere each side (similar pattern together) 1/3 of the way down on the bottom and then on the next sides, 1/3 of the way on the top. Continue this all around. If you need, you can hold the edges together with paperclips.

When the ball is dry, shape it a bit and add a ribbon with a sewing pin. You can make a bunch of these without the ribbon to decorate your table. Get your kids involved. It's an easy project!
