Whooohoooo what's new?

We got a second pack for Illuminated Journal...it's similar to the first one, with a set of covers, 3 old pages, an acrylic page, a cardboard page, the set of rings (shadowed and unshadowed), a set of ribbon "rings" and 18 elements to get you going with your altered art or art journal projects.

Our second new pack is an alpha pack...perfect for you steampunk lovers! Also great for vintage, male, Lego, and travel layouts. So versatile. It's uppercase only though...

So you wanna see some eye candy??? Our team did an amazing job:

Winners and explanations and layouts

We were late with our winners for the Happy Place...but it's easily explained. So sorry for the inconvenience! But, Vanessa is home from the hospital now. She went in after her check-up when her doctor found her to be dilated!!! Her twins are too early to come out as they are not due til May...so, Vanessa's been kept under observation. Today, she's home but on bedrest for a while until her doctor can be sure the babies stay in...so please, please, everyone, send prayers, wishes, whatever, her way!!! We want those babies in for a little while longer!!!

So between that and me, there was a misunderstanding as to closing the post...we've informed the two ladies who won, Radka-S and rossr122. Congratulations ladies and hey, let us know when you get a layout completed...we'd love to see!!!

So, wanna see some layouts I did last week? I guess I was on a roll, I usually don't have much time for scrapping:

This is me in Kyoto in 2006 using the Silk Road kit and Fiddle Dee Dee Designs template (Cheryl's templates are just 'da bomb!)

This is my family whom I got to visit over Christmas 2009 using the Princess Tomboy kit and Jennifer Fox's template (love the multi-photos she does!). I do more multi photos in my layouts since most of them are for travel memories.

I don't normally scrap simple but in these two layouts, I really tried. I used Heather T's Tangled Twirls. And that's DH up above!

By the way, Heather T has moved to the DigiChick!!! Yay!!!! her stuff is beyond awesome, you'll have to take a look.

Another one using HeatherT's Industrious Remix. OMG, the papers are to die for!!! I'm in love with this kit. And the photos are my family when we were in Kyoto in 2007. We just thought it might be interesting to dress up in Japanese style!

So that's it for now...

Winter Break and New Kit at TDC

So, it's winter break for my kids here in Denmark and we shipped the girls off to grandparents' house yesterday on a bus. It was awfully quiet at home. But we had a nice dinner, just DH and me! I made eggplant makmoor, stuffed dolmas, lentil/rice salad, all the things the kids' will never touch! But they will be back late Friday along with SIL and her kids who are visiting for the weekend, so I better make use of the freetime I get now!

OK, so, we have a fun new release at the DigiChick:

Our inspiration? Both Vanessa and I each have a daughter who is crazy girly but who is also very much a tomboy. My Bella will think nothing of wearing a dress to climb a tree in but will also insist that that dress has to have a pocket in it. She doesn't see the point in having clothes with no pockets. This is the girl who when I do laundry, I have to check all pockets carefully for rocks, trinkets, scraps, bits of food, whatever! This is the girl who goes to the grocery store with me all dressed up in her princess gear. She'll play with Barbie's one minute and then with her box of Hot Wheels cars the next. This is the girl who DH calls his "boy". Here's a little showcase from our team:

from Caren

from Eryn

from Jaye

from Vanessa

from Tinci

from me (Vivienne) using a template from a new designer at TDC, Jennifer Fox

from Katie

So here's to all those Princess Tomboys in all your lives! Have fun scrapping!
